I am so excited about this post! I knew the moment we moved into our home last fall that I needed to find a cute dog crate to act as an end table to give our Boston Terrier a place to relax in the family room. I spent quite some time looking for the perfect one, and even priced out how much it would be to have a guy make one for me, then I found this beauty! I LOVED the detail on the door, it just wasn't the right colors... But I knew that could be changed.
Here is the "BEFORE" picture. It was painted a dark espresso color. It was cute this way, but I knew I could make it really make a statement!
I knew it wouldn't be too hard because I made sure that assembly was required. I took the pieces out of the box and had some fun spray painting. It only took me an afternoon.
I went with a black + white theme and I made the hardware gold. I LOVE how the door now fully stands out and makes such a statement!
It's safe to say he loves it! Yay!
I sure love my sweet General Sam Houston the 2nd.
I have always loved these cute little dog sculptures, I thought this was the perfectly appropriate spot to have one in my home.
